SPOKANE VALLEY -- Police are looking for a man who robbed the Spokane Valley American West Bank branch.

Just after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, a man walked through the front door of the bank, went to a teller, and demanded money.  The teller gave the money and the suspect left.  He ran through the parking lot and got in a black or deep purple Suzuki Vitari with license plates that read "PC".

No weapon was mentioned or shown during the robbery.  The suspect is described as a white man with no glasses or facial hair.  He is about 5'08" tall with a medium build and shaggy blond hair.  Witnesses said he wore a navy blue-colored coat and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

At my bank the tellers don't even have cash drawers. It is all kept in a vault that spits it out when they need it. It would take way too long to get anything.

Do you actually get away with bank robbery in this day and age?
