SPOKANE, Wash. -- College students at Gonzaga University are ridding themselves of clutter to help families in need.
Gonzaga’s Housing and Residence Life is expanding its “Zagiving” program by partnering with the Spokane Community Warehouse, a program of Catholic Charities Spokane.
Zagiving is will last 7 days during the school’s final week from May 8-14. Seven portable storage units will be all around campus for students to donate useful items they no longer need.
For off-campus students, Spokane Community Warehouse trucks will visit the Logan neighborhood May 13 and 14 and May 29 and May 30 to pick up second hand items.
Last spring the Zagiving collected 40,000 pounds of materials to help 350 families.
