SPOKANE, Wash.--Spokane police raided a packed storage unit in November and discovered hundreds of stolen items. KREM 2 News posted the pictures of the stolen items online so people could claim their property, and on Wednesday police managed to return a long-lost to a very grateful owner.
Much of the items are still unclaimed but one recovered bike is now back in the possession of its loving owner.

Kasi Johnson, 15, is special needs and her family said she was inconsolable when her bike was stolen in 2012.

"She was crying for weeks about it. She was really upset and there was nothing I could do," said her father Steven Bennett.

Bennett recalled the devastating day in the winter of 2012 when his daughter discovered her bike had been stolen straight from their backyard.

"It took me a few months but I found her another one, then they stole that one too," said Bennett.

Johnson's heart was broken. She told her dad all she wanted for Christmas was to ride a bike again. A Spokane police officer made that wish come true on Wednesday.

"It was a total surprise. She was almost crying," said Bennett.

Johnson could not stop smiling or voicing her appreciation.
