SPOKANE, Wash.--A new workout craze in Spokane is all the buzz. It is a workout that combines spinning classes and dancing on a bike.

Hundreds of people spin through the classes in the dark. You would think you were inside a dance club.

Spinners at Union Yoga and Spin Studio, near Pacific and Browne, described it as a dance party on a bike.

"You're riding to the beat and it's based off the music,” said

The spinners pedal in the dark, under black lights to loud music with lasers that move to the beat.

“It's so much fun, it's the best workout I've ever done,” said spinner Britannia Bloom.

Owners Nick Murto and Tyler Lafferty modeled the class after similar classes they have seen in Seattle and L.A.  They wanted to make cycling classes in Spokane more fun.

Since the grand opening on January 22, the classes have taken off and the studio has sold hundreds of memberships.

"I don't know if I'd want to go back to a regular spin class after going here,” said Bloom.
