New surveillance pictures of Hayden Walgreens robbery suspect

 HAYDEN, ID-- On October 27, 2009 at approx. 5:00 PM the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Dept. was dispatched to the Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Hayden Idaho for a possible Robbery. Responding units immediately established a perimeter and requested a K-9 unit to assist in tracking the suspect. The K-9 unit arrived on scene but was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

Detectives arrived on scene and interviewed the employees and customers in the store. According to the employees a white male adult, approx. 30 yrs. Old walked into the pharmacy and handed the pharmacist a note demanding Oxycontin and then displayed a handgun. The pharmacist told the suspect that the new shipment of Oxycontin had not arrived yet. The suspect grabbed the note and left the store.

The suspect is described as approx. 30 yrs. old, 5’8”, and wearing a long ski type coat. At the time of this press release detectives are reviewing video tapes from the pharmacy. No one was injured during the robbery. At this time there is no further information.

I am not sure I am loving this new format with krem.com. First,they mess with the news anchors,and now this.

I agree Dixie, I'm not loving it either! This Walgreens has only been open less than a week I believe. I'm sure they thought they would be open a little longer before getting held up for some oxy. Hope they find this guy soon.
