PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University online graduate programs in business and engineering, as well as the online bachelor’s degree program, are among the best in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings released Wednesday.
“The success of WSU’s online programs is directly attributable to the excellence of its on-campus programs,” said David Cillay, vice president of WSU’s Global Campus. “Same professors, same rigor - and the same century-old land-grant mission of reaching beyond campus boundaries.
For the second year in a row, the MBA and Executive MBA degrees offered online by the WSU College of Business through the Global Campus were ranked among the Top 10 online graduate business programs.
The College of Engineering and Architecture’s online master’s degree in engineering and technology management ranked 21st among online graduate engineering programs. The ETM program, established in 1982, serves professional engineers from around the globe who want to learn skills to more effectively manage projects, people and technology in the workplace.
The magazine also ranked WSU’s overall online bachelor’s program 21st among the more than 200 online bachelor’s degree programs evaluated.
Rankings were based on student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation and student services and technology.
WSU launched the Global Campus, which it considers its fifth campus, in July 2012. It offers dozens of online programs, including undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates, to more than 3,000 students each semester.
