SPOKANE, Wash. -- The American Veterans Traveling Tribute is bringing the traveling Vietnam Wall to Spokane for three days beginning on October 3. It will be on display on top of Greenwood memorial Terrace Cemetery.
The traveling wall is 360 feet long, which is only 20% smaller than the actual Vietnam Wall in Washington, D.C. It is the largest reproduction of the monument and carries the names of all 58,261 service members who died in the Vietnam War, including 84 from Spokane.
The names of the fallen Spokane area veterans will be read each day starting at 1:00 p.m. along with a ringing of a replica cast of the Liberty Bell.
A laptop with a database as well as two hard copy wall books will be available to assist in locating names on the Wall.
