SPOKANE, Wash. -- The family of a man who was injured in a shooting in the parking lot of the Hobby Lobby last month says they lived in constant fear until the suspect was arrested Thursday night.

John Garder was in the hospital for 4 days after being shot. He's still on crutches today.

Gardner's long-time girlfriend and the mother of his 2 children, Karlie Richardson, said it was the scare of her lifetime.

"I didn't know if he was going to die, or if I was going to have to raise my kids by myself," said Richardson.

Last night, the suspected man who shot Gardner, Terrance R. Jones, 26,  was arrested during a traffic stop on I-90 near Broadway.  When Jones was arrested, he had 3 warrants out for his arrest.

The Sheriff's Office would not say why they stopped the car Jones was in but they did say once they knew he was inside, they shut down traffic on I-90 for everyone's safety.

Richardson says she felt safe  for the first time in weeks when she heard Jones was in custody.
