SPOKANE -- The Spokane Fire Department has a lot of repair work after someone trashed the Children's Safety Fire House.
The Fire Department said someone broke into the two story mock-up trailer home Tuesday night. It was parked next to Bemiss Elementary School.
The windows were smashed out and several flat screen televisions were ripped from the walls. The trailer helps show children what to do in case of a house fire.
Members from the community raised money and built the trailer in 1991.
"It makes me disappointed," said Brian Schaeffer from Spokane Fire. "I'm not normally somebody who gets mad. But I'm extremely disappointed that anybody in the community would destroy a community resource like this."
The trailer sustained an estimated $2,000 worth of damage.
