SPOKANE VALLEY -- Spokane Valley firefighters responded to a reported house fire at 8:38 p.m. Wednesday at Park Road and Broadway Avenue.

First arriving crews reported heavy fire in the front and rear of the house with 30 foot flames from the roof.  Firefighters had the fire out and under control within minutes.  Nobody was inside the vacant house.  Nobody was hurt.

The house has been vacant for several years and is for sale.  This is the fourth fire the department has responded to the vacant structure.

The fire is under investigation.  Officials said it appears to be arson and is a total loss.  Anyone with information on how this fire started is asked to call the fire department at 509-928-1700.
