SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.--Nearly 1,800 students and staff will fill the University High School gymnasium Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. to remember their classmates who died in a car crash Saturday night.
They will have a moment of silence, the introduction of the soccer team and the culmination of the ‘Toys for Titans’ drive.
Students and community members in the Spokane Valley have been collecting new toys this week to honor and remember Josie Freier and McKenzie Mott. The toys will be piled in the center of the gym by students as they enter for the assembly. The toys will later be donated to the Toys for Tots charity.
Community members can continue to donate new and unwrapped toys at any Spokane Valley Fire District station.
