COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) -- University of Idaho President Chuck Staben says the school plans a more aggressive strategy to entice Idaho students and bump enrollment at its Moscow campus from 11,000 to 15,000 over several years.

Staben tells other news outlets that a significant number of qualified high-school graduates in Idaho don't opt for college.

He says the school hopes to be more effective at encouraging them to come to the university

He says the school will also coordinate with North Idaho College and Lewis-Clark State College about what classes it offers at its Coeur d'Alene center.

He says there are a significant number of students tied to the area not likely to attend classes at the school's Moscow location.

About 400 students are taking UI classes at the Coeur d'Alene center.
