SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Authorities arrested two suspects in connection to a pharmacy robbery at Shopko on East Sprague Thursday night.
Investigators were told a man robbed the pharmacy at gunpoint and took off. Employees gave deputies a description of the suspect’s getaway car. Officials said the car, a gold Honda Accord, was later spotted going north on Pines.
Deputies were able to pull the car over near Broadway and Pines. According to investigators, the driver in the car, identified William Higgins, 25, stayed in the vehicle while the suspected robber, Steven Perry, 28, ran from the car.
Authorities said that during the chase Perry threw a gun toward some bushes. Deputies eventually caught up with Perry on foot. When Deputies searched the area, they found a handgun they believed was used in the robbery.
Another gun and prescription drugs were also recovered at the scene.
Perry was booked into jail for the charges of 1st Degree Armed Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Obstructing. Higgins was booked into jail for the charges of 1st Degree Armed Robbery and Driving While License Suspended.
