SPOKANE, Wash. --  Police arrested two suspects Sunday morning for copper-wire theft.

Officers responded to N. Regal near E. Olympic after a neighbor reported two men who looked to be trying to steal copper wire from a vacant home.

Authorities found the two suspects a couple of blocks away. They said they had a bag of cut copper wire with them.

Joshua Barber, 22, and Ryan Patchen were both arrested for 3rd Degree Theft.

Patchen was also charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon after police found brass knuckles on him during the arrest.
