SPOKANE, Wash. -- Tree of Sharing tags are up and going fast. The cause benefits thousands of people from one week old to nearly 100 years old.
Successful business owner Shannon Freese was one of those people, once upon a time. Her family fell on tough times years ago. She submitted tags for her siblings.
"It was just lollipops and a cassette for my brother," she said. "But it meant the world to them."
Shannon now helps out multiple families herself through the cause. She put a tree with tags in her gym and will take care of whatever her customers don't.
Requests on the tags range from a frying pan to warm socks.
