HAYDEN, Idaho - Avista tells KREM 2 News that a power pole fire has knocked out power to 3,869 customers in the area in and around Hayden, Idaho.

An Avista spokeswoman told KREM 2 News that the fire happened around 5 a.m. and affected a transmission line.

An Avista crew is working to fix the power pole, but they don't have an estimated time to restore power in that area.

The area affected is the Huetter area between Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene along I-90 and north to southern part of Rathdrum.  This outage also affects the eastern portion of Hayden.

Some traffic lights are out in that area and authorities ask you to treat those as a four-way stop.
