Spokane – Spokane Police are investigating a theft at the Village Café and Concert House in downtown Spokane.
Over the weekend, someone broke into the local non-profit and stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment.
The Village Café provides free music lessons, instruments, and recording access to kids in need.
Thieves stole a keyboard and Stratocaster guitar, recording gear, and a $2,000 audio mixing board.
The building is under remodel. The thieves stole power tools too.
“It's interrupting the progress of rebuilding the place and what we are going to be able to do once it is built. Inside and out, functions are taking a hit right now,” said Som Jordon, a local musician and volunteer.
It is not known how the thieves got inside the building.
