SPOKANE -- If you are looking to get an H1N1 vaccine shot or nasal spray, Monday is your chance to make an appointment in Spokane County. But those appointments are going fast.
Phone lines will open at 9:00 a.m. to book an appointment for next month. The number is (509)324-1648. Go to http://www.srhd.org/news.asp?id=122 for more information.
The doses are limited for these clinics, running from the first to the tenth. All of the H1N1 vaccination clinics will run from 11:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. on those days.
Here are the specific days and locations: December 1 -- Spokane Valley Partners, December 2 -- West Central Community Center, December 8 -- East Central Community Center, December 10 -- Northeast Community Center.
Priority will be given to people considered high risk by the Centers for Disease Control.
But has not always been busy. The first mas clinic at the Spokane Arena had hundreds of doses leftover. Last week's clinic in Airway Heights had a thousand to give away. But only 100 people showed up. There were at different times and different days, but there is another difference. Those were first-come first served. The health district believes people maybe didn't want to wait and chance not getting the vaccine.
If you live in North Idaho, you can also make an appointment, starting Monday night for clinics scheduled one week from today, on the 30th, by calling 1-877-415-5225 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Those clinics will be held across Kootenai and Bonner counties.
