SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A man and woman robbed the Spokane Valley Walmart and threatened the employees with a knife, according to police.

It happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Employees say they saw the man put merchandise in his coat, and the woman hid items in her purse. The man allegedly threatened them with a knife when he was confronted.

The man threw the merchandise on the ground before taking off on foot. Employees grabbed the woman’s jacket as she attempted to run. She was able to get out of the coat and flee.

Police say both suspects drove off in a silver, 1996 Honda Accord with plate no. 356VJA.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest or conviction.
