Suspect in Walgreens robbery turns himself in

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Authorities said a man turned himself in for an armed robbery at a north Spokane Walgreens Sunday night.

Spokane Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens pharmacy on East Empire and North Division around 9:50 p.m.

Witnesses told police a white man entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded prescription medication. He then fled on foot.

Officials tried to track the suspect with a K-9 but were unable to locate him.

Police received a call around 11 p.m. from a person who identified himself as the man who robbed the Walgreens pharmacy earlier Sunday night.

Officers quickly responded a home on East Mission near Havana where the suspect said he was.

Eric Bordner, 23, was interviewed by police and admitted to robbing the pharmacy. Bordner was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Robbery.

Police located the gun believed to be used in the robbery. They determined the gun was a realistic-looking airsoft handgun. 

Bordner will appear in court on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
