SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Spokane Valley Police said they arrested a suspect Thursday for stealing items from memorial areas at cemeteries.
Authorities arrested Richard Hall, 30, for two-counts of 2nd Degree Burglary and two-counts of Protection of Cemeteries.
Officials said they established probable cause that Hall had been going into cemetery facilities in Spokane Valley and unincorporated Spokane County. Police said Hall was taking items from memorial areas where families can place keepsakes of their loved ones.
Thursday morning, an employee at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery called police to alert them that Hall was in the cemetery.
Spokane Police were able to detain Hall until Spokane Valley Police arrived and arrest him.
