SPOKANE, Wash.-- A tradition twice as old as Bloomsday will also draw a crowd to Spokane through the weekend.

The 78th Annual Junior Livestock Show at Spokane County Fairgrounds is taking place through Sunday.

The Northwest Natural Resources Institute has put on the fair in conjunction with the livestock show for 23 years.

A group of students from Finch Elementary visited the fair to learn about agriculture.  They learned how to turn sheep’s wool into clothing and how bees produce honey.  Several hundred other area students are expected to tour the fair.

The livestock auction is open to the public Saturday and Sunday.
