MINNESOTA— Parents in New Ulm, Minnesota vented their frustration at a school district after an inappropriate playground game came to light.

It is called raped tag.  The game encourages children to tag private parts of others.  Washington Elementary School administrators said almost two dozen fifth graders played the game.

It’s described as similar to freeze tag, except to unfreeze the person; players have to make sexually suggestive contact.

When school officials learned of the game, they immediately put a stop to it.  Administrators said they spoke with each classroom and notified recess supervisors.

Parents were upset because they said that is where the communication stopped.  They said it took nearly a month to notify parents of the situation.

However, school administrators said they feel comfortable with the way things were handled.  They said they have not seen students play the game since they put a stop to it.
