NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. -- A powerful storm blew into the region on Wednesday afternoon. The storm left a trail of destruction in Newman Lake and Rathdrum.
KREM 2 News received calls from viewers in both areas claiming that a tornado caused damaged to their property.
Experts at the National Weather Service said that there were no actual tornadoes. They estimated that wind gusts reached speeds of 55 to 60 miles per hour during the storm.
