PULLMAN, Wash. -- Streets in Downtown Pullman were closed for several hours Thursday morning while police investigated a report of a possible burglary in progress.  Officers said security cameras caught a glimpse of the suspect.

Pullman police said the owner of Puffin Glass on Grand Ave. called 911 around 4:45 a.m. after the store’s alarm company alerted him to a burglary alarm at the store. The owner accessed live security cameras and watched numerous suspects inside, according to authorities.

Officers and the Whitman County Regional SWAT team established a perimeter around the business and later entered the store around 8:00 a.m. Authorities then discovered the suspects apparently had fled before officers first arrived, according to Gary Jenkins, Pullman Police Chief.

Pullman Police said security images captured one of the people who was inside the store. Investigators said they are following multiple leads including a vehicle found to the front of the business.
