Authorities said James Morton, 51, of Benton City was driving a truck southbound on Highway 20 Nov. 22 when he crossed the centerline.  He lost control of the semi, which tipped onto its side and crashed into a railroad bridge abutment.  Authorities said another semi-truck then crashed into Morton’s truck.

Morton was killed in the crash. The other driver was not injured.

The cause of the wreck was placed under investigation.

Detectives were seeking witnesses that may have seen any events leading to or the actual crash.  Anyone with information was urged to contact WSP.
