SPOKANE, Wash.—There is mystery brewing at the Spokane County Jail regarding two missing stall doors in the visitor bathrooms.

Visitors assumed the jail staff removed the doors, but KREM 2 News found out that nobody is sure where the doors went.

Staff at the Spokane Co. Jail said on Thursday that they contacted maintenance workers about the missing doors and ordered new ones.  Stall doors were missing from the male and female visitor bathrooms. Workers told KREM 2 News that they are not sure how long the doors have been missing.

Staff said a woman complained about the lack of doors late last week and that is the first they knew of the problem.

Officials said there may have been a mix up with the crew hired to clean the restrooms. It is possible they thought the jail did not want doors there and removed them.
