SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Sprague Avenue between Vista Road and Park Road will be resurfaced beginning April 14.

The project is expected to take about two weeks to complete.

Crews will place a two-inch asphalt overlay, improve storm water drainage and they will update sidewalks and curbs.

While construction is under way, Sprague Avenue between Vista Road and Park Road will be reduced to two lanes westbound.

Expect closures of Park road just north of Sprague and Park Road just south of Sprague at varying times during the project. Signs will redirect traffic to detour along Vista/Broadway or Thierman/Appleway.

Other sections of Sprague are also scheduled for resurfacing including those between Havana and the I-90 overpass from the I-90 overpass east to Thierman, from Vista to Herald and from Herald to University.
