SPOKANE, Wash. -- A new event in Spokane aims to entertain and raise money at the same time for a Northwest charity.

"Crush Hunger" was organized to raise money for Northwest Harvest, which collects and distributes food to approximately 300 hunger programs in Washington state.

Over ten wineries will be on hand Saturday, March 1 to serve up samples of over 30 different wines while food trucks prepare sample dishes.  Craft beers will also be available to taste.

The event takes place at Luxe Ballroom.  With each ticket purchased, Northwest Harvest will be able to provide 204 nutritious meals to needy families in the Spokane area.

Tickets are $45 and can be purchased from the Northwest Harvest website by clicking here.
