SPOKANE -- A Spokane mother surprised her daughter with a trip to Portland to see one of their favorite bands, Rascal Flatts, in concert over the weekend. But the surprises didn't end there.

11 year old Makenna Fitzner thought she was getting ready for school on Friday, but her mom, Alyssa, had other plans. Instead she told Makenna they were going to the airport and flying to Portland for the concert.

If that wasn't enough excitement for the weekend, at the concert Makenna randomly ended up on Stage. Gary LeVox, the lead singer, pointed the microphone at Makenna while singing, "What Hurts the Most", she knew all the words, and he pulled her up on stage for the rest of the song. That's where she continued to dazzle the crowd, hitting every note and lyric.

Her mom tells KREM 2 News it was the 'coolest experience'--- shocking and incredible. She says couldn't believe how well Makenna did singing in front of the huge crowd. She says Makenna has been pretty modest about all the excitement, but says she's been singing the song a lot since the concert!

After telling the story to some of her friends, Alyssa says one of them called her back and said sure enough, the performance is posted on Youtube.com.
