SPOKANE, Wash.-- Do you feel happy?

Spokane is ranked the eleventh happiest city in the entire country, according to tweets from local residents.

Researchers at the University of Vermont tracked 10,000,000 geo-tagged tweets to map out the moods of Americans in urban areas. They scanned the tweets for the appearance and frequency of "happy" words including love, hope, and beauty.

Researchers found that higher rates of geographic happiness correlated with lower rates of obesity.  The Twitter study also confirmed the idea that those with money tend to express their happiness less.

Spokane was the only Washington city in the top 15.
