SPOKANE, Wash. — A charity for homeless people in Spokane asked for the community to help them win a $25,000 grant.

The Family Promise of Spokane applied for the grant through the Windermere Foundation. The group said its mission was to provide shelter and support for homeless families.

The Windermere Foundation promised the grant to the charity that received the most votes on Facebook before April 2.
