SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.--A home in Spokane Valley is a loss after a fire broke out near the home’s back porch.
The flames look to have destroyed the back part of the home. Fire crews were called to the home on North Best near Forker around 12 p.m. Sunday.
Firefighters were there for more than two hours battling the fire. A family of five lived in the home and was not there at the time of the fire.
Officials said the home lies on the line between two fire districts. Crews said they arrived within ten minutes of getting the call but neighbors said otherwise.
The family’s home is insured and did not need assistance from the Red Cross. Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause.
