SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Mayor David Condon will participate in the Mayor's Day of Recognition for Service tomorrow as part of a month-long emphasis on community service on Tuesday, April 9.
Mayor Condon is proclaiming the day "National Day of Recognition for Service" and April as "Service Month."
This will highlight the impact of national service programs that tackle local problems and manage volunteers. This is also an opportunity to thank members of service projects for their work.
The next Spokane clean-up project will be "Cleaning from the Core" on April 27 from 9 a.m to noon. This will help clean-up downtown in time for festival season. You must go to Spokanecity.org to register before April 15 and you will receive a free t-shirt.
