Detectives need help to identify body pulled from Spokane River

SPOKANE, Wash--Spokane County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help with identifying the body of a female found in the Spokane River Friday afternoon.

Her identity was not determined after an autopsy was completed Monday. The autopsy shows no signs of trauma.

Detectives submitted fingerprints and were looking through missing person’s reports on Monday. They asked other local law enforcement agencies to do the same.

She is described as a white or possibly Native American female approximately 40 to 50-years-old. She is five foot to five feet two inches and 145 pounds. The woman has brown eyes with dark brown shoulder length hair.

The woman was found wearing a green sweater and black stretch pants with a white and red border at the top. Her teeth were described as in good condition and she had no tattoos, scars or jewelry.

The woman’s body was found caught in some branches of a fallen tree in the Spokane River.
