SPOKANE-- The Spokane County Sheriff's Investigative Task force raided a home in Spokane on the 1500 block of East Rockwell Thursday morning and seized 105 marijuana plants and several hundreds dollars in cash.

Investigators says two men who lived in the home have been hiding behind the medical marijuana law to grow it in Spokane and then turn around and sell it in Everett, Washington.

They also had forged medical marijuana provider forms.

Investigators say the men have been doing this for a couple of years.

The men arrested are 28-year-old Robert Thompson and 31-year-old Eric Franklin. Both suspects are in the Spokane County Jail on felony counts of manufacturing a controlled substance.

Madjack55 - You said it! Every ones so "hip" on change right now. Then lets see some REAL change. I don't care if you don't use. I don't, and I still think adults can make their own choice in regards to marijuana. It will not be anymore assessable to our youth then alcohol. Id rather be around someone who is smoking marijuana then some slobbering, belligerent drunk. I saw the sheriff say on the news around a month ago how it will decrease productivity and increase domestic violence if they legalize it. Do they let anyone spew ignorance on TV? Oh and Bigdogsrunwild, thats an old argument with 1960's undertones. I'm sure a doctor who shows up for surgery (after its legalized) stoned was getting it long before its legal. And do teachers who drink on the weekend come to school and announce it to their students? Lame, Lame, Lame. Its called common sense.

Bigdog, write your comment again substituting alcohol for pot. I wouldn't want the police officer or the surgeon high on any drug while on duty as for the teacher, as long as he shows up for school straight and sober it's nobody's business what he imbibed over the weekend.

Why even bother? When the vote comes up for spending on the new jail I will oppose it if there is one single person in jail for marijuana.

Yes, the very term "controlled substance" is a minor flaw in in their effort of categorizing marijuana as a schedule I drug; but my legal argumentation crushes the government's schedule I categorization of marijuana wholesale! Valleyman sayeth that marijuana should only be obtained through "state-licensed dispensaries"; just like those other schedule I drugs alcohol and tobacco right brother!!! This November we, the citizens of the State of Washington, are going to decriminalize marijuana altogether, and no longer shall the government be able to persecute us consumers of the Lord's good green herb. If not I am just going to show up at the fed building with an eighth of weed and make those government lawyers look sillier than Massa! Yeah baby! Keep it green

I wonder if one of the idiot's was the dummie who ran from the store with a "grow light"? I sure do wish they would legalize this stuff. People won't agree, but pot has outgrown it's stigma that: "It will lead too stronger drugs". People need too get out of the 60's and get with the facts that it's no more stronger than a vicodin pill. Dr's give them out like candy. And if folk's say "well they'll be giving it to our kid's", I've got news for you, our "kids" already know where to get pot. What's the consensus out there folk's? Let's not be rude. Just your opinion. What do you think? Legalize or NOT.

This just goes to show that the loophole in this law that allows patients or their "providers" to grow pot is flawed... If we're going to have this law, you should only be able to obtain it from a state-licensed dispensary. End of story.

If you are going to do this why get a card?It wont help them now.I like that law"manufacturing a controlled substance"They were not making nothing. They were growing a plant.Do we call growing wheat, manufacturing wheat.I never heard it called that. All they are doing is providing a plant what you do with it is on you. Some like brownies. Some like candies. That is manufacturing something. They may have manufactured their green house.Probably not they don't seem to wise.I don't see where the manufactured anything.Anybody know what they made??Besides money..lol I think this law was made for meth where you have to put more than one thing into it to get a end product.Makes no sense on a plant..

I'm glad they busted them. The ones that do this type of thing are the ones that need to be hassled and arrested.

Why are these idiots ruining it for everyone? Finally we see progress and greed threatens to undo it.
