SPOKANE, Wash.—Law enforcement officials said Spokane County Deputy Jeremy Jeske was placed on administrative leave in June. Officials said the administrative leave stemmed from insurance fraud allegations made against Jeske.

State fraud investigators turned the case over to the Attorney General’s office. The investigators were recommending two felony fraud charges for Jeske.

The criminal investigation was complete on Tuesday and an internal affairs investigation was beginning.
