SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -- Officials with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office said on Tuesday that they will not be affected by the partial shutdown of the federal government.
The federal government shut down at 12:00 a.m. EST after congress failed to agree on a budget. Many non-essential federal institutions were closed and thousands of government jobs were furloughed.
They continued and said that all Sheriff's Office services are still in place and have not been affected. 911 and Crime Check are both operation and concealed pistol licenses are still being processed.
