SPOKANE, Wash. -- Two separate collisions slowed traffic on Interstate 90 late Friday night.
Washington State Patrol troopers said a car and a semi were involved in a wreck westbound on the freeway, near Finch Arboretum. Just east of that collision, troopers said three other cars crashed in the westbound lanes.
Injuries were reported in both wrecks. The extent of the injuries, however, was not immediately known.
Authorities shut down parts of I-90 while crews responded to the crashes. The roadway was finally cleared just before 11:30 p.m.
The causes of both crashes were placed under investigation.
