COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho--  A robbery suspect tried to hold up Jitterz coffee stand but only got away with tip money.  Now authorities are looking for the man who claimed to have a gun.

Authorities said the suspect hit Jitterz along Government Way on Friday night.

Once inside the coffee stand the suspect male ordered the two female employees to the ground and stated “this is a robbery, I have a gun” according to witnesses. However, authorities said no weapon was displayed. Instead the suspect had a black shirt over his right hand and was pointing it toward the female employees.

The suspect took off with money for the tip container when the cash register would not open.

Witnesses described the suspect is described as a white male, early 20’s, 5’08”-5’09”, very skinny build, white T-shirt, blue jean shorts.  If anyone has any information on this crime they are asked to call the Coeur d’ Alene Police Department at 208-769-2320 or contact us at policetips@cdaid.org.
