SPOKANE VALLEY - Spokane Valley Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a destructive house fire near East Valley High School.
Several crews responded the fire near Wellesley and Moore just before 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
Neighbors reported hearing at least one loud explosion in the area. It is unclear what caused the noise.
One person was home when the flames broke out. No one was hurt.
Assistant Fire Marshal Bill Clifford said when firefighters arrived, the entire back of the house was involved in flames. Clifford said the home and everything inside is destroyed.
This is the second destructive fire at the house in the last year and a half. Clifford said the family finished remodeling the home and moved back in last November from the last fire.
