SEATTLE -- The tents are up in Pioneer Square for festivities celebrating the NFL and the Seattle Seahawks.

The event celebrates the kickoff of the football season and the reigning Super Bowl champions. The festival in Occidental Park runs 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

The NFL Village is free and open to the public. Several former Seahawks players are scheduled to sign autographs.

For the kids, there will be an obstacle course, ball pit and green screen video game simulations.

At the NFL Kickoff concert on Thursday, fans can see Seattle-based Soundgarden. Also, Pharrell Williams will be performing. The concert will be in the north lot of Century Link Field Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The festivities continue through Friday.
