Police catch suspect burglarizing Sunset Grocery

SPOKANE, Wash.--Officers caught a suspect burglarizing Sunset Grocery on Saturday.

Chance Bunting, 18, was arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Malicious Mischief, 3rd Degree Theft and Obstructing.

Spokane Police Patrol officers responded to an alarm call at the store around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. Officers saw a man inside the store with a mask over his face when they arrived. They said the man was attempting to burglarize the business.

The suspect fled when he saw the officers. They were able to follow Bunting and take him into custody in the Rosauers parking lot several blocks away.

Bunting was set to make his first court appearance on Monday afternoon.

Sunset Grocery was also robbed twice in December of 2013.
