SPOKANE -- Spokane Police say they've caught one of their top ten most prolific offenders and he's back in jail.
Aleksey Solodyankin was arrested Monday for the seventh time since December. In January, he was arrested three times in three days. A judge more than doubled Solodyankin's bond Wednesday in an effort to keep him behind bars.
His charges over the last few months include burglary, motor vehicle theft, eluding police, drugs and prowling.
Police say they were getting tired of chasing him around.
"It's a drain on our resources, a drain on myself," says Spokane Police Crime Analyst Tom Michaud.
Police say an understaffed Spokane County Prosecutor's Office is part of the problem when it comes to keeping offenders like Solodyankin in jail.
