SPD: Robbery suspect arrested 6 minutes after initial call

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police said officers located and arrested a robbery suspect within minutes of the initial call Tuesday morning.

Authorities said the suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded cash at Indaba Coffee on W. Broadway around 7 a.m. The suspect took off on foot, according to police.

Spokane Police Patrol officers responded to the call and were on-scene in less than one minute, SPD said. According to officials, officers located the suspect within six minutes of the initial call and detained him.

The robbery suspect was identified as Terral Lewis, 38. Lewis was and booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of 1st Degree Robbery and Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

Police said meth and other items believed to have been stolen in the Robbery were located in Lewis’ possession.  Those items were recovered and returned to the owner, according to SPD.
