PULLMAN, Wash.--Pullman might be home to some of the smartest people in America according to an online study. VentureBeat.com listed Pullman as the 10th smartest city in the country. Moscow, Idaho ranked 29th in the nation.

The top 10 include:

1. Ithaca, NY
2. State College, PA
3. Lafayette-West Lafayette, IN
4. Iowa City, IA
5. Ames, IA
6. Ann Arbor, MI
7. Bloomington, IN
8. Madison, WI
9. Lawrence, KS
10. Pullman, WA

The website ranked the 100 smartest cities from coast to coast based on information from a company, Lumosity, which studies cities by their raw cognitive performance. Lumosity creates brain-training exercises. It boasts the world’s largest dataset of human cognitive performance, with from more than 40 million people.

The study used data from more than three-million people between the ages of 18 and 75 who played several Lumosity brain training games.
