PULLMAN, Wash-- The SafeWise Report ranked Pullman fourth in a list of the 50 safest cities in Washington.
The organization created the list based on the most recent FBI crime data from 2012, considering population and other factors such as safety initiatives and security programs.
Security Analyst Rebecca Edwards, said, “With low crime rates and an abundance of community pride, these Washington cities know how to take care of their own.”
SafeWise said Pullman cares as much about its citizens’ safety as it does about Cougar football.
The report added, “Boasting no reported murders for the past seven years and some of the best schools in the state, Pullman offers a lot to families looking for a safe, wholesome community to call home.”
A philosophy of community policing ensures a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors according to SafeWise.
The safest city on the list was Connell. Spokane was not listed.
