SPOKANE, Wash. -- A man responsible for a series of criminal activities will likely face a number of charges for his behavior. Police arrested Leonard Hahn on Thursday morning for allegedly hitting two cars and a porch.
The recklessness began around 2:30 a.m. at Francis and Division.
A Washington State Patrol trooper attempted to pull over Hahn for running a red light. However, the 25-year-old drove over a curb in his pickup truck and started a pursuit instead of stopping according to authorities.
The suspect made it to Lacey and Wellesley, where he hit a car stopped at a stop sign and lost control. He then drove into a car parked on the block, which propelled the truck into a tree in a nearby front yard. The truck came to a stop when it hit a brick column on the home's front porch.
“I drove by because the house was already blocked off. I walked up. I was shocked it was my house and I wasn't just seeing it on the news,” said the homeowner.
Neighbor Chris Herrington heard it all happen.
“I was inside my house and I heard a bang, and then a screech, and then another bang,” Herrington said. “I didn’t get to see it happen. I just heard it happen. It was pretty loud.”
Trooper Troy Briggs said the female passenger stayed in the truck and was transported to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The Hahn took off on foot, and reportedly broke into another home. The residents apprehended him and called police. Hahn was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Troopers suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
