SPOKANE, Wash. - Major Crimes Detectives with the Spokane Police Department are investigating several robberies that happened over the past 24 hours in North Spokane.

Detectives were waiting on a search warrant early Friday morning as they prepared to enter an apartment building at the intersection of North Hill'n Dale and North Standard Street.

Investigators said they planned to search one apartment after what they described as a "short string" of robberies.

Several robbery victims contacted police within the past 24 hours.  It was not clear what had been taken from the victims or whether the suspects in the robberies were armed.

Police said two people have been detained for questioning.
