SPOKANE, Wash--Spokane police arrested the suspect in an Iowa kidnapping Friday after the victim called from a gas station.
The victim who was allegedly kidnapped in Sioux City and driven to Spokane escaped from the vehicle and called 9-11 from a gas station near the intersection of 3rd and Thor according to police. The victim reported being assaulted during the trip according to police.
Detectives and officers located the suspect, 34-year-old George E. Rosenbaum, in his vehicle nearby. Rosenbaum crashed his vehicle and fled by foot according to police.
He was then arrested near Greene and Riverside.
Rosenbaum was booked into jail on charges of first degree kidnapping and first degree robbery according to police.
